Arathi tribe

The Arathi were a tribe of humans who were able to unite the various tribes and found the nation of Arathor and its city-state capital of Strom.<ref>Arathor and the Troll Wars</ref> The Arathi originates from rebels of the Azotha kingdom of Corthan fleeing north from their nation as they collapsed and reverted to a tribal state.<ref>Gheor from the Turtle WoW Community Discord - "The Kingdom of Corthan predates the Arathor Empire. Corthan mentions rebels going up north of the now Badlands and implies they have gone back into a tribal state - thus being the first step towards the Empire of Arathor."</ref>

Following the fracturing of that kingdom, the descendants of the original Arathi tribe travelled south to found the kingdom of Stormwind.<ref>The Seven Kingdoms</ref> The last descendent of the Arathi bloodline was Sir Anduin Lothar.
