Vastrien Emberweald comes from a noble lineage of mages within Silvermoon City. He was raised with a deep respect for the arcane arts and a strong connection to the Sunwell. Vastrien's parents, both renowned mages, instilled in him a sense of duty to protect and uphold the magical heritage of the Quel'dorei. As a young mage, he underwent rigorous training under the tutelage of his father, honing his skills in the elemental school of fire magic. Vastrien's family was devastated by the Scourge invasion, and he witnessed the destruction of the Sunwell firsthand. This event deeply affected him, fueling his desire to reclaim the lost source of their magic. In response to such a tragedy, he forwent his birthname and adopted the surname 'Anu'thori', meaning 'The Furious' in Thalassian.
