BetterCharacterStats

BetterCharacterStats (BCS) enhances your character's info panel by displaying detailed stats not available in the default UI. Designed specifically for Turtle WoW, it accounts for custom game mechanics, buffs, gear, talents, and auras to give an accurate representation of your character's capabilities.

Installation

GitAddonsManager

The easiest way to keep BetterCharacterStats up to date is by using GitAddonsManager.

1. Add the Repository: Add the following URL to GitAddonsManager: https://github.com/Otari98/BetterCharacterStats.git
2. Select the Branch: Ensure that the master branch is selected.
3. Update: Using GitAddonsManager, you can check for and install updates for all your AddOns with a single click.

Manual Installation

If you prefer manual installation, follow these steps:

1. Go to the main page of the repository.
2. Click the <> Code dropdown and download the repository as a .zip.
3. Unpack the .zip and rename the folder to BetterCharacterStats, removing the -main suffix.
4. Move the folder into your Interface/AddOns directory and restart the game.

Usage

• Viewing Stats: Open the character info panel (C by default). The addon automatically updates stats when the panel is shown or when relevant events occur.
• Dropdown Menus:
  • Left & Right dropdowns allow you to customize which stats are displayed. Options include base stats, melee, ranged, spell, schools, and defenses.
  • Change selections via the dropdowns in the character panel for tailored info.
• Tooltips: Hover over stats for detailed breakdowns, including gear bonuses, talents, buffs, and set effects.

Stats Displayed

• Base Stats: Strength, Agility, Stamina, Intellect, Spirit, Armor
• Melee & Ranged Combat: Weapon skill, damage, attack speed, attack power, hit rating, critical strike chance
• Spell Stats: Spell power, hit rating, crit chance, healing power, mana regeneration, spell haste
• Spell Schools: Specific spell power for Arcane, Fire, Frost, Holy, Nature, Shadow
• Defensive Stats: Armor, defense skill, dodge, parry, block chance, overall avoidance
