Chimaera Roost Vale

Chimaera Roost Vale is a valley hidden south of the Lower Wilds in Feralas. Once a stronghold of the night elves,<ref name=":1">Gossip text from Velos Sharpstrike.</ref> the vale has since fallen into ruin, almost completely abandoned save for the Venomlash and Dunebound Chimaera that roam the area.

Velos Sharpstrike, together with his chimaera companion Voltra and apprentice Lataro Swifthoof, have recently re-settled in the vale, hoping to restore the night elven stronghold to its former glory.

History

Millennia ago, the night elves entered into an agreement with the wild chimaera, who agreed to fly the elves into combat in times of war. At some point in time, a brutal war between the night elves and the Maraudine centaur occurred, wherein the centaur stole Chimaeran’s legendary harness and hid it away in Maraudon.<ref name=":0" />

Eventually, Chimaera Roost Vale was abandoned, though the practice of constructing chimaera roosts was still in use up to at least the Third War.<ref>Chimaera roosts from Warcraft 3.</ref>

Velos Sharpstrike has reclaimed the vale alongside the chimaera Voltra and tauren Lataro Swifthoof in an effort to revive the roost and train more chimaera. He directs adventurers to retrieve Chimaeran’s long-lost harness to preserve the chimaera-rider’s legacy.<ref name=":0" />
