Difficult Bulletin Board scans world chat and organizes messages into an easy-to-read interface, making it simple to find groups, services, or updates.

Installation

GitAddonsManager

The easiest way to keep DifficultBulletinBoard up to date is by using GitAddonsManager.

1. Add the Repository: Add the following URL to GitAddonsManager: https://github.com/DeterminedPanda/DifficultBulletinBoard.git
2. Select the Branch: Ensure that the master branch is selected.
3. Update: Using GitAddonsManager, you can check for and install updates for all your AddOns with a single click.

Manual Installation

If you prefer manual installation, follow these steps:

1. Go to the main page of the repository.
2. Click the <> Code dropdown and download the repository as a .zip.
3. Unpack the .zip and rename the folder to DifficultBulletinBoard, removing the -master suffix.
4. Move the folder into your Interface/AddOns directory and restart the game.

Usage

Opening the Bulletin Board

• Type /dbb or left-click the minimap icon to open the interface.
• The main window displays organized chat messages.

Managing Topics

• Right-click the minimap icon to open options.
• Use checkboxes to follow/unfollow specific topics.
• Use /dbb to toggle the main interface.

Tabs

• Groups: Find or post group messages.
• Groups Logs: View recent group chat entries.
• Professions: Search for crafting services.
• Hardcore Messages: Track hardcore-related events (deaths, level-ups).

Filtering (in Groups Logs)

• Use the filter box next to "Group Logs" to filter entries.
• Enter comma-separated keywords to filter messages containing those terms.

Chat Interactions

• Click on a name:
  • Left-click: Whisper (/w) or shift-left-click: /who.
  • Right-click: Invite (/invite).

Minimap Button

• Shift+Click to move the minimap button.

Customization & Settings

Access Settings

• Right-click minimap icon → Options.
• Adjust:
  • Font size
  • Number of entries per topic
  • Time display format (fixed or elapsed)
  • Server time position
  • Filtering options
  • Sounds on open/close

Using the Options Menu

• Resize, enable/disable features.
• Set topics to monitor.
• Save settings to reload UI.

Troubleshooting

• No messages appear? Ensure you're in world chat (/join world).
• Tags list issues? Press "Reset" in options to refresh.
• Filtering not working? Check the keyword blacklist and filter box.
• UI glitches? Reload UI with /reload.
