Gelnor

From Turtle WoW Wiki

Gelnor is a city in Gilneas. It is home to a diverse population of both humans and dwarves, having become home to a clan of hill dwarves of the Wildhammer clans hailing from Dun Kithas as they searched for a new home after the disastrous War of the Three Hammers. After over two centuries, the dwarves and humans of Gelnor have adopted many of each other's customs. The dwarves have taken to the worship of the Light, albeit in hewn caverns of carven stone rather than churches, and the humans became excellent wood-carvers and gryphon riders, if more inclined to long lances rather than thunderhammers.<ref>The Dwarves of Gelnor</ref>

The last known lord of Gelnor was Lord Gerold, who aided Crown Prince Liam Greymane and Lord Darius Ravenwood with supplying the Gilneas Brigade with a legion of stout Gelnorian dwarves and men to sail west to Kalimdor and join Lady Jaina Proudmoore's expedition. As one of the conspirators behind the forming of the Gilneas Brigade against the orders of King Genn Greymane, Lord Gerold was harshly punished for his part in the plot.<ref name="Prophet's Warnings">The Prophet's Warnings and the Gilneas Brigade</ref>
