Jewelcrafting

This fully-fledged profession introduces over 200 new items for you to craft, with recipes obtained from trainers, found in the world, and through exclusive quest-lines for Jewelcrafters that reward a unique recipe upon completion! Begin your jewelcrafting journey at the trainers located in Stormwind, Ironforge, and Alah'Thalas for the Alliance, or Orgrimmar, Undercity, and Sparkwater Port for the Horde.

What can jewelcrafters expect? Rings, necklaces, staves, trinkets, off-hand frills, helmets, and notably, gemstones—details to follow. Not all items will be available immediately and will unlock as you progress in the profession. Expect new trade goods such as gritted papers, polishing oils, and new jewels like Amber Topaz and Pure Moonstone, to name a few. Jewelcrafting demands collaboration! Some materials will require assistance from other professions, such as Enchanted Gemstone Oils provided by Enchanters.

The profession also introduces two new sub-specializations: Goldsmith and Gemology. You can choose one of these specializations upon reaching a skill level of 225 and character level 40, after completing a related quest-line, similar to other specializations.

All Jewelcrafters will be able to craft Gemstone Clusters, enabling the recycling of materials to acquire more jewels than typically possible through mining. Additionally, rare Gemstone Deposits will now appear in the world. These deposits can replace thorium veins and require a Mining skill of 310. Mining these deposits can yield various gems from different tiers, but most notably, they guarantee an Imperial Topaz, a key material for both Gemology and Goldsmith specializations, akin to Black Lotus and vital for high-level crafts.

Where to find the Precision Jewelers Kit?

Ranik the trade supplier in Ratchet. 175 Engineering is required to craft the Precision Jewelers Kit.

The Jewelry Scope requires 225 Engineering to craft and the schematics are sold by Gonzo Snaphands the Jewelcrafting supplier in Steamwheedle Port Tanaris.

Specialization Quest

Gemologist and Goldsmith specialization quests can be found in Ironforge and Undercity at the Jewelcrafting trainer. Goldsmiths focus on crafting equipment such as necklaces, rings, bracers, and staves, with most powerful items, such as Epics, exclusive to this specialization. Gemologists specialize in unique gemstones, empowering necklaces and rings with various effects. Almost all gemstones are exclusive to this specialization.

Kill the giant Boreghast found in Dustwind Gulch northeast Badlands for gemologist quest-line.

How to do the final quest "The final cut": Right click on the box given to you the questgiver. This will put 3 items in your inventory. Right click on the cloth and let it cast. Then right click on the cloth again to let it cast a second time. Turn in the quest item to the quest giver.

Gemology Recipes

The ring/neck enchantments work like normal enchantments. So anyone can ask a Jewelcrafter to put jewelry enchanting on them through the trade window.

The +6 strength enchant. Advanced Gemology I Bottom half drop from Blackrock depths Emperor Dagran Thaurissan. The Advanced Gemology I Top half plans is found in Lower Blackrock Spire in the room before War Master Voone. The +3 stats enchant. Advanced Gemology II Bottom half drops in Scholomance from last boss Darkmaster Gandling. The Advanced Gemology II Top half is found next to High Foreman Bargul Blackhammer in Hateforge Quarry. Sadly most of these blue recipes require Enchanted Gemstone Oil this item is still bugged and enchanters cant craft it.

The Advanced Gemology XI Top half is found in Lower Blackrock Spire in the room before War Master Voone. The bottom half drops from Blackrock Depths craftmans trash or Fineus Darkvire. Hard as Diamonds also drop from Lower Blackrock Spire / Blackrock depths trash.
