Outland
Outland is the name given to the remnants of the orcs' former homeworld Draenor.
After the end of the Second War, the planet was destroyed due to the overload of fel magic caused by Ner'zhul and his allies.
Second War
During the final events of the Second War, the Alliance of Lordaeron forced the Orcs to retreat to the Dark Portal, reaching Draenor, in the end, the planet was overloaded with so much fel energy that it exploded, causing the portal to close in the process, condemning the Alliance Expedition to remain lost on the shattered planet to this day.
Third War
The night elf demon Illidan Stormrage and many of the naga and blood elves fled to Outland and succeeded in defeating Magtheridon and conquering the wasteland.
After the Fall of Illidan at the foot of the Frozen Throne, Kael'thas Sunstrider and his Naga allies returned to Outland to continue searching for a cure for the addiction of their Blood Elf and High Elf brethren.
World of Warcraft
Currently the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands remains inert, only demons roam its surroundings while an eternal storm rages over the place.
A regiment of Dalaran mages and soldiers guard the Dark Portal from Nethergarde Castle while dealing with the growing demonic population there,
Or it was believed to be inert, but the vile energies of the place become increasingly unstable and the demons more powerful...
Geography
Little is known beyond the Hellfire Peninsula, an arid and desolate place, only dry red dirt is seen everywhere along with giant alien mushrooms.
