Vaas, also known as The Giant or The Forgotten, is an undead warrior who can be found roaming both continents of Azeroth. He is known for his prodigious size and mutism, often using handwriting to communicate. He is a known member of the Whitestone Trading Co. (The Unseen), working as a bodyguard for the Gordunni ogre Hu'Runk.
Physical Appearance
He is well known for his gargantuan size, which exceeds the height of the average Tauren; as well as his total lack of speech, often communicating with groans, grunts and gestures, which often barely show any emotions in him.
Equipment
Vaas wears an old, ruined armor that resembles his former life and his attachment to his past. His armor is deteriorated and rusted, as well has patched up and modified due to constant damage, making it practically impossible to place the armor in any place and time to track it back to his past. His pauldrons present spikes that seem to be of later addition and his helm seems to be purposefully enclosed for two possible reasons: a high amount of protection or to hide his visage. On the back of the chestplate there is an inscription that might be used to track its origin, but rust and damage has made it unintelligible. The greatsword is the most important part of his whole arsenal and the one he seems fond of in an extreme manner. He always takes it with him and can't sleep without it, but it has proven harmful effects to others for prolonged exposure to its aura. Nausea, headaches, dizziness and, in severe cases, hallucinations, insomnia, nightmares, paranoia and obsessive-compulsive behaviors. There is records of his sword being haunted and moving on its own, falling from place it was perfectly attached to, even whispering to others.
History
Recent History
Vaas used to work at the docks in Ratchet as a dockers, using his strength for easy but poorly paid work. It didn't take time for him to catch Hu'Runk's eye and was soon hired as the ogre's bodyguard. As a member of the Whitestone Trading Co. he soon became known to more people and started to work with various groups.
Soon he began to work in several jobs, like venturing into Stranglethorn Vale to steal from the Bloodsail Bucaneers or escorting clients. But he was also interested in his own travels, wandering the lands of Azeroth and meeting unlikely allies. He traveled to Uther's Tomb in the Western Plaguelands to attend to a speech from the Brotherhood of Light. His presence didn't go unnoticed, but violence wasn't the welcome he received either. In what's related to the Light, Vaas also worked with the Swords of Lothar in one occassion and doesn't seem scared to interact with those who are traditionally considered foes of his kin.
Due to his particular undeath and dark powers, he was kidnapped by Whitebark Trolls, aided by the Boulderfist Ogres of Arathi Highlands. Workshipped like the incarnation of the Loa of Death, his cursed blood was used in various dark enchantments and rituals, until he was freed by members of the Whitestone Trading Co.
Salienne Bontemps

One of his first escort jobs was to lead Salienne Bontemps, an undead mage he had met at a Forsaken night gathering, through the Barrens and the Wetlands to Tabetha's hut. That way, they get to know each other and she taught him how to write, which he couldn't do. It didn't take long for the undead to start practicing by himself.
