Mogor the Ogre was the renegade ogre leader of the morose Laughing Skull clan. Having come into control of a rogue order of death knights, he sought to create a powerful spell with the aid of their necromantic magic. However, the Horde of Draenor sought the death knights as they held knowledge needed to rebuild the Dark Portal. By the command of Warchief Ner'zhul, Elder Shaman of the Shadowmoon clan, Mogor's life was declared forfeit and the Slayer of the Shadowmoon defeated him,<ref>The Rift Awakened (WC2 Orc)</ref> subjugating the Laughing Skull with the aid of Grommash Hellscream and some of his Warsong soldiers, who had been taken captive by the Laughing Skull.<ref>Slayer of the Shadowmoon (WC2 Orc)</ref>

Mogor's subsequent fate is unknown, but his clan was subjugated and remained part of the Horde of Draenor's forces during the Alliance Expedition's later foray into Draenor, though they later stole the Book of Medivh from Ner'zhul's stronghold and traded it to the Alliance in exchange for destroying the stronghold of the Thunderlord clan that dwelled there. The Skulls would supply the humans with warriors and supplies culled from their villages. In exchange for the Alliance's assistance, the Laughing Skulls would give them the Book of Medivh. The Alliance Expedition complied and reinforced the orcs as they attacked and destroyed the strongholds of the Bonechewers and Thunderlords, allowing the Skulls to gain control of the region.<ref>Dance of the Laughing Skull (WC2 Human)</ref>
