The kingdom of Quel'Thalas was the realm of the high elves, last ruled by King Anasterian Sunstrider and the Sunstrider dynasty. Founded almost 7,000 years ago, it was nestled in the eponymous region of Quel'Thalas in northern Lordaeron, its capital was Silvermoon City and its borders stretched from the northernmost tip of the Eastern Kingdoms to the Greenwood Pass. Currently, the kingdom lies in ruins. The Thalassian Highlands, located along the borders with the kingdom of Lordaeron, is the only inhabited region, having been recently resettled by the elves of the Silvermoon Remnant that have restored and expanded the abandoned outpost of Alah'Thalas into a city.
