Vorgendor (also called the Blood Dimension) is the mysterious worgen home-world.<ref name=":0">Vorgendor: The Blood Dimension</ref> Once a realm where Elune's favored servants lived freely, an invasion from the Burning Legion resulted in the corruption of the world; in a desperate bid to fend off the demonic invaders, the worgen forsook Elune in favour of blood magic, tainting the once-blessed race.

History

Originally a world where the worgen walked in harmony under the light of Elune, the encroachment of the Burning Legion (referred to as the Lords of the Emerald Flame by Velinde Starsong<ref>Velinde's Journal</ref>) drove the worgen to using blood magic. Despite the dark powers at their command, the worgen are fighting a losing battle against the Legion.<ref name=":0" /> Vorgendor is described in Ur's texts as a dark place of nightmares,<ref>The Book of Ur</ref> likely reflecting the Legion's invasion and the worgen's subsequent corruption.
